I completed B.E. (Electronics) with 72% last year. I want to apply for MBA in the U.S. How to register for GMAT in India and is MBA a good choice or should I go for M.S. in U.S. universities?
You’ve a good academic profile. Through high GMAT / GRE scores, a powerful statement of purpose (SOP) / personal essay and strong recommendation letters, you've a bright potential to gain admission in a graduate program in an U.S. university.

Whether MBA is a good choice depends on your aptitude and career goals. It also depends on the choice of U.S. universities to pursue the MBA program in: Are the universities you choose are in the top 50 in the list of American graduate schools that offer the MBA program? Or is it a second- third-tier university? These are some of the questions that need the answer to decide if MBA is a good choice for you.
Note that higher the rank of an American university for its MBA program, the better the reasons to pursue an MBA program in that U.S University.
Be aware also that many U.S. universities require that applicants have 2-3 years of work experience prior to applying for their MBA programs. Even if a university doesn’t have such a requirement, you would get the most of your MBA studies, if you opt for it after a few years of professional work experience.
Should you select M.S. rather than MBA? Again, you’ve to make a decision based entirely on the path you want to drive your career on. The career route you wish to take in turn should be based on your aptitude and interests.
